Outstanding tasks#
Anything the team needs from you is in one place: careers.globalfurry.tv/account/tasks.
There are no emails on this site, so this page is where a request lands. Your account menu carries a count beside it when something is waiting, and the overview shows the same number.
When the page says nothing needs your attention, that is the state it is meant to be in.
The four kinds#
| Kind | What it is | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| We asked you something | A member of the team has a question about your application. | Reply, once. |
| One question | The Yes or No about a role you opened the application form for. | Answer it, and it goes away. |
| An invitation | The team has invited you to apply for a role. | Open the role and apply, or mark it as read. |
| A message | A note from the team with nothing to answer. | Mark it as read. |
Each item says who raised it and when, or says the team where no name is attached.
Answering a question from the team#
Open the item and press Reply. Some questions come with fields to fill in, each marked required or optional. There is a box at the end for anything else you want to add.
There is one reply per question. Say as much as you need to; nobody is counting words. Once it is sent, the item shows what you replied and waits for somebody on the team to read it and close it off. If you need to add something afterwards, that is a new conversation. Say so in the GFTV Telegram group, or wherever you normally reach the team.
If somebody has already closed the question by the time you press send, the page says so instead of pretending it went through.
The Yes or No about a role#
This is the question from Applying, sitting here because you closed the panel without answering it. Press Answer it and the same panel opens.
It matters more than it looks. Until it is answered, the Apply button on that posting is a prompt to answer it, and you cannot apply to the role again. If nobody answers, it is given up on automatically after fourteen days.
Invitations#
An invitation means somebody on the team thinks a particular role suits you. The item names the role and carries any note they added, and the role itself is one press away.
There is nothing to accept here. An invitation is a suggestion, and you take it up by opening the role and applying as normal.
Marking it as read is not declining it. It only clears the item off your list. If you want to decline, the Telegram bot's copy of the invitation carries a Decline button, which tells the team. See the bot guide.
Messages#
A message is one way. There is nothing to submit, so the only thing to do with one is mark it as read.
Recently completed#
Items you have dealt with move to a Recently completed section on the same page, so you can see what you replied and when. Nothing is deleted the moment you answer it.
Telegram gets a copy, and never the only copy#
If you have linked Telegram, four kinds of message can arrive there too. They are invitations, things waiting for you, updates on your applications, and an application recorded from the form. Each of the four can be switched off with /notify. Everything sent to Telegram is also here, so nothing ever arrives only in a chat.
Offline#
The list is kept on your device and opens with no connection, marked with the day the copy was saved. Replying needs a connection, and the site says so on the control instead of losing what you typed.
